Picture This #412 ~ Animals

First of all please excuse if I happen to repeat photos this week as we have had this theme in other ways often and I really cannot remember what I have already posted. Blogger is also not a very co-operative programme in helping to find out.

This is Fuzzy, a dog belonging to a friend of ours. He was found roaming the streets of Croatia some years ago, and so she adopted him. He has a problem with a paw, so he always has to wear his little red shoe to protect it.

This is mum and dad swan taking a swim on the our local River Aar. The cygnets were born this year.

We pass this groups when we drive to the supermarket. One of  the local gardening places has them at the entrance, something like Grimm's town musicians.

I am not sure if birds count on this one, but here are two pigeons getting to know each other on the town wall of our local River.

Hello all, July is coming to an end and soon it will be August. We had some wonderfully colorful pictures last week, I enjoyed looking at them. And thank you for putting my moon shot up for the banner.

The theme this week will be "Animals". Any animal will do; your pets are fine. Domestic animals, wild animals, but preferably not cooked animals. And preferably not spiders. (Yikes.) Anyway, here are mine, have fun.

Picture This #411 ~ Four Colours

First of all thanks for feature my photo as the banner picture and thanks for hosting Anders.

Red: On one of my walks last week I managed to get to the second bridge from where I live. It was built about 10-20 years ago to enable the students to reach our new secondary school from the opposite bank of the River Aar.

Blue: Night in Feldbrunnen, a view from the back garden with the scaffolding in front of the building. There might have been a moon, but even that has disappeared since we are surrounded by metal.

Picture This #410 ~ Reminders Of A Bygone Age

Wonderful banner photo Mitch and thanks for hosting.

I am not sure this one has been standing on the path to the castle, but certainly not the latest model of a water hydrant.

The things you find in a garden of a restaurant and this is in our little village of Feldbrunnen. Perhaps someone wanted to call Dr. Who?

I wonder how many fields this one ploughed, before it was sent into retirement.

And even the Swiss joined in a little bit in the first world war. On the left my husbands's grandfather Fritz with his three brothers. They didn't have modern weapons. Mr. Swiss tells me they are sabres. Photo not taken by me, but a memory of the bygone age from a Swiss village, Niederwil about 5-10 minutes drive from where we live.

I am so in love with the horse in the banner picture. Did you photograph it in the American West, Mitch? Wonderful theme, I think some of my pictures are repeats but they fit.
