Picture This #400 ~ Pets

I have so many photos of my three cats as well as other animals, that it is difficult to choose.

Let's begin with Nera. She was my chief cat, and left us a couple of years ago for the eternal corn chambers, for her 10th life. She loved computers and would often help to solve problems.

Fluffy was a Selkirk Rex. She lost her sight at the age of 2 through an accident, but never seemed to be lost and found her way around perfectly. She left us a few years ago for her 10th life.

And presenting Tabby, now my only feline that owns me. She also has her own blog in WordPress and gets me organised. This is one of her studio photos.

Hi and Good Morning to everyone, or Good Day as I realise I am several hours earlier. I love this theme and also love our banner shot by Mitch. Here are my pictures of pets, my own and others.

Cat in sun

Many of you will recognise Honey, our cat. Here she is sitting in the sun.

Honey was a rescue cat and from her earliest days she liked to join us in whatever we were doing.

Vancouver

Before Honey, we had Vancouver, who was 19 years old when I took this picture. She liked to sleep on the foot rest of the recliner, and I made a little blanket for her to be sure she was warm.

Hi everyone, this is Mitch and I'll be hosting this week. This week is our 400th theme. I had originally planned to make it a special theme, but unfortunately due to major changes at work which has included me working away from home for some of the time, means I really haven't been able to give it the time I really wanted to. As such it will be just a normal theme. I decided to go with the theme of 'PETS'. Either photos of your own pets you have taken over the years, or if not, then photos of other people's pets is fine!!

1) This is an old pre-digital photo of my Afghan hound 'Saga', curled up in her own special chair. It was an old chair that should have been thrown out years before, but she loved it.

2) Another old pre-digital photo of two other pets I had back in the 80's. On the left is Tara, another Afghan and on the right is Ben, a collie-cross.

3) This is 'Sable'. She's my mom's dog. This was taken when she was about two years old. She's now 8.

Picture This #399 ~ Machines

Hello everyone from Switzerland and yes, we had snow this week, but only big mega flakes that melted afterwards. The problem was that we had freezing temperatures to go with it.

And now to this weeks theme. I have to do it on Friday evening as I really do not have time on Saturday morning, or any morning. The theme is machinery. We have probably had it before, but I checked through this year and did not find it.

At the side of the path to our local River Aar there is a machine room dealing with something to do with the river. I am not sure what, but it could be electricity, or a filter work. The gates are usually locked and so are the rooms inside, but I noticed that the door of the machine room had been left opened and so I zoomed in with the camera and took a shot.

We once visited our oldest son at work (Mr. Swiss in the background). This machine has something to do with working on metal.
