Picture This #394 ~ Rural

Many thanks to Pat for hosting this week. A great theme, as I love rural scenes. Hope to see lots of pastoral shots this week!!

1) This one always makes me smile, as I caught them by surprise. The one at the front was in the middle of munching a mouthful of grass.
Ewe Two!!

2) A field of buttercups...what could be more rural than that?

3) These Highland cattle looked really contented in their rural setting on a warm summer day.

4) A meadow full of puff-balls at Colby Woodland, Pembrokeshire, Wales.

  3. Thanks for featuring my sparrows as banner picture. Love the sheep, funny how they all look a bit different in other countries. Ours are still in the barn. Buttercups remind me so much of England - we have them in Switzerland but more dandelions.Love the longhorns which I rarely see here. We had a farmer that had some a few years ago, but he seems to have given it up. Such a refreshing photo of the puffballs They are a nuiscance, but the summer months would not be summer without them.

  4. Hi, Mitch, your pictures are so lush with green. The sheep make me smile too, as well as your contented cows. The yellow meadow is wonderful, especially with the people walking through.

  5. Hi Mitch! As always, your photos delight my eyes... The sheep seem to be greeting whoever looks at them... are they of the so-called Irish Suffolk breed?... The two human elements walking in the middle of the yellow patch that contrasts with the nice shades of green, add a value to the photo ... Looking at the cattle, I presume they had had a 'banquet' before and were enjoying siesta... Beautiful shot of the meadow... What is my favourite? That of the sheep...
